In addition to membership in leading orthopedic associations, Dr. Blitzer serves on the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ Board of Councilors and is past president of the New Hampshire Medical Society. Dr. Blitzer is an affiliate assistant professor in the Department of Kinesiology, School of Health and Human Services, at the University of New Hampshire. He is also an adjunct clinical faculty member in the physician assistant program at the University of New England in Maine.

Dr. Dirksmeier is extensively trained in the operative and non-operative management of all developmental, degenerative, pathologic, and traumatic conditions of the spine. A native of New England, Dr. Dirksmeier attended Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts on an ROTC Scholarship. Upon graduation, he was commissioned a lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps and served as a marine aviator and intelligence officer before earning his medical degree. While completing his general surgical internship and orthopedic surgical residency, Dr. Dirksmeier developed an interest in spinal surgery and completed an orthopedic spinal surgery fellowship under several nationally known experts in the field.
Dr. Fleit earned his bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. While in medical school he received several awards for high achievement including membership in the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT. Dr. Fleit received additional training in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Cleveland Combined Hand Surgery Fellowship. This fellowship included training at both the Cleveland Clinic, an international referral center and Metrohealth Medical Center, a world-class level one trauma hospital. He is a resident member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and is American Board of Orthopedic Surgery board eligible.
Dr. Geppert graduated from Harvard College before earning his medical degree. During foot and ankle fellowship training in New York, Dr. Geppert worked extensively with the New York City Ballet and the Rutgers University athletic teams.

Dr. Thut graduated from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and attended medical school in Philadelphia at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2000. Following residency, Dr. Thut served seven years in the United States Navy. He was head of the departments of orthopedic surgery during his tours at the Naval Hospitals in Charleston, South Carolina and Bremerton, Washington and while in Charleston, served as Medical Director. During his military career, Dr. Thut cared for both active duty and retired military personnel, gaining valuable experience in helping patients of all ages maintain an active lifestyle.
