I am a patient of Dr Thut. I had my total knee ConforMIS surgery in November 2015. The surgery went very smoothly.

My history: I had a congenital bad knee, I had suffered many years of pain. I have been waiting for the right time to have a new knee. I had been treated with several rounds of Cortisone injections for the last 4 years and finally I could no longer suffer the pain, especially the pain at night. However, I ONLY wanted to have a new knee that could live with me for the rest of my life, or as close as possible. I specifically wanted to have my new knee with latest technology, i.e the new ConforMIS total knee.

The surgery went quite well. I was extremely impressed with the staff at WDH. I was especially impressed with the WDH Joint Replacement Program. The recovery went well for me, it did take a bit longer to recover due to the extent of damage.  However, I started out with 47 degree flex with great pain and ended up with 120 degree flex without pain.

My post-op condition is that I am now able to walk up stairs and remain active on my small farm, especially due to the wonderful efforts of the WDH and Seacoast Ortho staff, especially the skill of Dr Thut. I raise, goats, chickens, ducks, and turkeys and cannot afford to NOT be active and mobile. Our farm COUNTS on me and my ability to be active and mobile, alongside my lovely wife, Deb.

Thank you so very much for allowing me the change in my life that allows me to be there for my farm and myself without PAIN!!!! Life is precious, we are active people that cannot afford to be disabled. Thank you again Seacoast Ortho and WDH, with a special shout out to PT folks…wonderful post-op program, very skilled and talented. I loved the pool – extremely helpful with recovery!
